CALL FOR DEMONSTRATIONS

Friday, November 24th, 2023
Start: 10:00 am
Verkehrsturm am Potsdamer Platz, Berlin
Finish: 11:30 am
vor dem Abgeordnetenhaus, Berlin
Join us in the demonstration and bring your banners and demands!
On the eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Girls, and FLINTA* on November 25, we want to come together to make our voices heard and our presence felt, standing in solidarity for a violence-free and self-determined life for all FLINTA* people.
Not a day goes by without FLINTA* people being oppressed by domestic or gender-based violence. Every day, they are exposed to discriminatory structures in which queerphobia, ableism, classism, racism against Black and Indigenous people as well as People of Color, anti-Semitism, anti-Gypsyism, and anti-Muslim racism intersect in ways that exacerbate one another.
We demand an end to gender-based violence! We demand an end to patriarchy and the full implementation of the Istanbul Convention, which is binding law in Germany!

Organizations and associations need financial stability and well-functioning structures to carry out their important human rights work in Berlin. Politicians and government officials must finally create the conditions necessary for Berlin’s feminist centers, educational programs, anti-violence organizations, and (queer) archives to operate smoothly.
